Your grief for what you’ve lost lifts a mirror

up to where you’re bravely working.

Expecting the worst, you look, and instead,

here’s the joyful face you’ve been wanting to see.

Your hand opens and closes and opens and closes.

If it were always fist or always stretched open, you would be paralyzed.

Your deepest presence is in every small contracting and expanding.

the two as beautifully balanced and coordinated

as bird wings.

Maulana Rumi RahmatuLlahi alaihi

…intentions were completely different to what has evolved and appears here…love this photo from my dear son…JazakumuLlahu khairan katheeran abada…Insha’Allah after mirror gazing and a deeper presence listening to and being more aware of expansion and contraction, the original intention will be reignited and suddenly fill this page…

All good is from Allah Ta’ala whereas mistakes are from this humble speck. May Allah Ta’ala Bless all readers, bringing you all closer to Him and His Rasul SallAllahu alaihi wasallam.  May He accept our humble efforts and grant us the capacity to be good and do good. Ameen.

Wa ‘alaikumus Salam Wa Rahamatullahi Wa Barakatuhu,
    Dear Sisters,
could not get that little ditty out of my head after reading your comment 🙂 And yes, Rumi really creates the most profound imagery, SubhanAllah!
Wish I were ‘back’ with more oompphhh…Insha’Allah, slowly step by step…and huge doses of Sabr 🙂
Words universal and for all time and all situations, but resonate with a boom at the moment, sort of echoing off the confines of walls right now…Khair, Alhumdulillah!
    Wassalamu alaikum
