The Conqueror of Hearts

By In

Hazrat explained that when we were motivated Muslims, exerting ourselves in the worship of our Lord, when our connection with Allah Ta’ala was strong, and when we lived our lives in accordance with His Will, we experienced the help of the Almighty in all our affairs. This was a time about which Poet of the East, Muhammad Iqbal, said:

Of all the brave warriors, there were none but only we,

Who fought Your battles on land and often on the sea

Our calls to prayer rang out from the churches of Europe,

And at times in Africa’s scorching desert sands

We ruled the world, but regal glories our eyes disdained,

Under the shades of glittering swords and the kalima we proclaimed.

However when we allowed love for the dunya to enter our hearts at the expense of love for our Creator, when we made our nafs (lower self) our guide, when we abandoned adherence to the shariah and the sunnah of the Prophet SallAllahu alaihi wasallam, and adopted the ideals and ways of the disbelievers, we deprived our own selves of the Help and Mercy of our Lord and weakened ourselves before our enemies.

Everyone is intoxicated with the wine of indulgence

Are you Muslims? Is this the way of Islam?

You have neither the faqr of Haider nor the wealth of Uthman

What spiritual connection do you have with your pious predecessors?

They were respected in the world for being Muslims

And you are disgraced for having abandoned the Qur’an.

Hazrat then explained that the only way out of this disgraceful situation is to work on our inner selves. Love for the dunya is the cause of our spiritual deaths; we must purge our hearts of it before we can experience a spiritual reawakening and re-establish our connection with our Lord. This renewed spirit would then inspire us to obey the Almighty no matter what the odds, and would catapult us to the same lofty heights that Muslims have experienced in the past.

With the power of love, elevate the fallen to lofty heights

Illuminate the age with the name of Muhammad SallAllahu alaihi wasllam

Intellect is your shield, love is your sword

My dervish! The world is your caliphate

Your takbir is like fire for the Godless

If you are Muslim, your destiny is what you make it

If you are loyal to Muhammad SallAllahu alaihi wasllam, then We are yours

What of this world, the Tablet and the Pen are yours.

…recently…

…recently we have been days without water…and other times without electricity…the first thought always is ‘just how did our predecessors cope?’…it is…

Cuma mubarek olsun. May it be a blessed jummu’ah. SubhanAllah, I was reading about Osman Ghazi, Shaykh Edebali and the very beginnings of the Ottoman Empire just last night ..and the sight of your post sent chills up my back. In some way or another, “serving others” and “great leaders” keep appearing in front of my eyes these past few days. And I find myself awe-struck around every corner. A dear teacher responded to the excitement in my voice that is so natural when I speak about Turkey with “Turkey is a blessed land”… and I feel that the secret to this blessing really does lie in serving others, a deep reverence and etiquette towards the friends of Allah and all that is attached to them and yes, Love. Lessons for those who seek… May He bless Fatih Sultan… Certainly, if RasoolAllah (endless peace and blessings upon him)spoke of his greatness… many blessings await. Thank you so much for sharing this publication with me.
The chills continued — May the efforts of the Hujjaj be accepted and may there be ease upon this rihla for them. Ameen.

Assalamu alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu,
Dearest Sister Iffat, oh you even ‘sounding’ like a national from the country you love 🙂
Alhumdulillah for the synchronicity many experience even though so far apart…and more so when it is Deeni related, SubhanAllah! Ameen thumma Ameen to your Adiyah. May Allah Ta’ala’s flow of mercy touch us all and assist our journey to Him in a way that gains His favours and blessings, Ameen. I am about to depart for a quite evening time outside the Dome…where the Taif Dua will be read again and again 🙂
    Wassalamu alaikum
