…Muhabbat fountains…

By In

…such joy and exuberance from much loved little ones…exuding a happiness born of purity and innocence…in a fresh invigorating clime…but so so so far away…tugging at the heart strings…releasing an inner fountain of Muhabbat…

…while recently visiting the Awali area for Eid, squashed in a tiny alleyway was a newly installed slide, a whizzy thing and swings…all painted the serene green of the Mubarak Green Dome…squeals of laughter and cute playful sounds ricocheted off dusty mud walls…and dust danced with their happiness…releasing an inner fountain of Muhabbat…

…let’s go back thousands of years…when this very area was known as Bani Harith bin Khazraj…where Sayyidna Abu Bakr As Saddiq RadhiAllahu anhu first settled after his migration to Madinah…and where later he arranged for his wife, Umm Rooman and daughters Asmaa and Ayeshah, RadhiAllahu anhunna to reside…it was here that the young Ayeshah RadhiAllahu anha would spend time playing with her friends…they loved to swing…just as all children, and many adults, delight in the meditative rhythm…and devise imaginary tales with simple toys made from pieces of palm trunks and fibre and old fabric…one of her toys was a horse with two wings and when the Prophet SallAllahu alaihi wasallam gently remarked that horses do not have wings, being a child born into the light of Islam, she intelligently replied that the Prophet Sulaiman Alaihis Salam’s horses had wings…which elicited a smile from her betrothed…releasing another inner fountain of Muhabbat…

…Lady Ayeshah As Siddiqah RadhiAllahu anha was born in the month of Shawwal four years after Prophethood, and nine years before Hijrah and then six years later, also in the month of Shawwal the Nikkah to our Beloved Rasul SallAllahu alaihi wasallam was performed in Makkah, which was ten years after Prophethood and three years before Hijrah…and then a few years after migration she was given to the Prophet SallAllahu alaihi wasallam from her parental home in Bani Harith…and thus his dream in which an Angel presented him with a gift wrapped in green silk became reality…as it was the beauteous face of our Lady Ayeshah RadhiAllahu anha shining under the silken cover…another effusive inner Muhabbat fountain sprinkles the heart with glistening diamonds…

…Madinatun Nabi during these current days is devoid of pilgrims from outside the Kingdom, one of the two periods in the year when visas are not issued meaning access for sisters to the Mubarak Rowdha Shareef and the area surrounding it is open and free of pushing and yelling, Alhumdulillah…the blessing of standing mere metres from the Mubarak Hujrah of our Beloved Prophet SallAllahu alaihi wasallam and his beloved wife, our Ummul Mu’mineen, Ayeshah As-Saddiqah RadhiAllahu anha releases a forceful fountain of Muhabbat that belies description…long moments standing literally where the main door to their humble home would have been have been gifted…SubhanAllah…one’s body melts into an intoxicated oblivion…where all sense of what seems to be the reality of plush carpets, gilded decoration, Ottoman features…dissolves…and any moment our Lady Ayeshah RadhiAllahu anha will appear from under the dried palm frond roof carrying an empty clay water vessel…or maybe to attend to the needs of sisters gathered around her door…or to distribute Sadaqah…such is how the inner fountain of Muhabbat is released…

…may you experience the releasing of an inner fountain of Muhabbat as you reflect upon the exceptional life of our Lady Ayeshah RadhiAllahu anha…may time be devoted to filling the hearts of our young ones with the beauty and simplicity of her life, achievements and dedication to the cause of Islam, Insha’Allah

All good is from Allah Ta’ala whereas mistakes are from this humble speck. May Allah Ta’ala Bless all readers, bringing you all closer to Him and His Rasul SallAllahu alaihi wasallam.  May He accept our humble efforts and grant us the capacity to be good and do good. Ameen.

    Assalamu alaikum sister,
when my cousin left for umrah i offered him money and the plan of khalid bhais shop which u posted here. he took the plan and not the money. alhamdulillah they came back to india last week and handed me the jazoor oud. subhanallah what a smell…….. no words to describe the scent. really wish they had taken money and got me a bigger bottle. khalid bhai – convey our thanks to him, he was very generous, infact all the attar purchase of my cousin was done only from khalid bhai shop and pleasant surprise all our relatives were gifted jazoor oud. so our city seems better smelling these days 🙂 another thing, is there another attar shop right behind khalid bhais shop under stairs? initially cousin seemed to hav gone to the wrong shop but only when he mentioned khalid he was directed to this shop. thanks once again to u and khalid bhai also, my humble salams to him too.
Please convery our salams to our seyyidi rasoolullah sallahu alaihi wa sallam. its a joy to read ur reply when u mention that u hav converyed our salams to our seyyidi. its sents heart racing so eagerly awaiting ur reply on that…
    Assalathu Wassalamu Alaika Ya Rasoolullah
    Assalathu Wassalamu Alaika Ya Habibullah

    Dear sister Umm Bilal,

Thank you for this muhabbat infusing post. My wife and I just read it and will probably read it again. It’s really well written masha Allah. Sayyiduna Shuayb Abu Madyan wrote the following:

    Allahumma adhiqnaa halawata munajatik
    wasLuk bina sabeela mardatik
waq’ta’ ‘anna kulla maa yub’iduna ‘an hadratik
wa yassir ‘alayna maa yassartahu li ahli MAHABBATIK
waghfirlana wa li walidina wa li jami’il muslimeen.

Ameen fi khayr, wa lutf, wa ‘afiya.

    Can’t wait for Hajj insha-Allah.

Wa ‘alaikumus Salam Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu,
Dear Brother Ahamed, Alhumdulillah for you having some of the Jazoor Oud and liking it…sometimes I wonder if my enthusiasm is biased..Masha’Allah for so much to be shared around. Insha’Allah you will know some one coming for Hajj and can order more! Insha’Allah I will convey your Salam and satisfaction to Khalid Bhai. Yes, Taiba Museum, the name of the series of shops that Khalid Bhai is involved with have a few outlets and the other one beside the one he is in belongs to the same company. Your name, and the request for your sister is read every time…and these days is read in Rowdha Shareef as well as at the side of the Mubarak feet! Alhumdulillah!
Yes, Haram is all that you describe and more Dear Ummi Muhammad! Check your email.
JazakiLlahu khaira Dear Sister Yasmin…may your heart be bursting with Muhabbat.
Ameen thumma Ameen Dear Brother Qushayri and family…may your preparations for Hajj be filled with Barakah after such longing.

Thank you, jazakallahu khairah… am really touched that you still remember my request for my sister. with allahs grace she is fine now after the treatment leading a normal life. i was showing my wife your post about new shaykh mohammed attar and she was asking me to get a job at that shop atleast and move there to the blessed city to be with the beloved. am humble with gratitude that my name is heard at the side of mubarak feet am really moved and typing this with tears in my eyes. jazakallahu khairah, may allah bless you and your family and give you a long and healthy life full of ibadah.
I came across a baith called ahamadullah baith said by ashike rasool thaika sahib waliyullah (27th descandant of abubakr raliyallahu anhu)at the rowdha shareef and as he stood and recited it, rasoolullah sallahu alaihi wa sallam appeared there and kissed the forehead of this great man so this baith is very revered and recited in hongkong, india, srilanka, dubai among other countries i know. people always stand and recite this baith and i always longed to recite this at the mubarak rowdah but have not got a chance yet. insha allah soon…
I wish to share this with you if you tell me how to send it to you.
Very poetically written with each line starting in alphabetical order of arabic alphabets, it was not written but actually occured to him in his mind as ilhaam when he was standing in that rowdah shareef.

Dear Brother Ahamed, this sounds like a beautiful recitation…what format is it in…can it be sent via email, or by post? Insha’Allah let me know. Insha’Allah I will add this request to the ‘list’…the plan is to be in Rowdha Shareef tomorrow evening.
