Habibullah SallAllahu alaihi wasallam, Hajj 1435, Makkah al-Mukarramah, virtual tours

…Makkan Ziyarah…

By In

Makkan Ziyarah1

…whizzing past the grave of Ummuhatul Mu’mineen Maymunah, RadhiAllahu anha…unfortunately when traveling to Makkah by bus one is not able to stop give Salam or make Du’a as is the case when travelling by car…plus there is no longer a place to park as there was before…intense road works either side of this Mubarak site extend for kilometres along this part of the Hijrah Highway where gouging massive trenches have been dug… as can be partially see here…i fear for what the scene may be next time passing by…

…and yet no attention is spared for the glamorous expansion project or for the mushrooming of lavish hotels and shopping malls…our noble heritage seems to be easily brushed aside…our connection to the sanctity of our past history slowly eroded away…all the more for time to be spent sharing stories from the heart of the Seerah…especially with young ones…because such stories, when held safely in hearts can never be taken away…make a treasure chest within your chest…ready to dip into it…letting the events shine before the eyes of all you relay such gems to…Insha’Allah…

…the day we decided to make Ziyarah was extremely hot and dusty…a pall of haze was enveloping this  blessed valley…much coming from the constant mountain demolishing and construction projects…this speck had little energy for taking photos…by sheer neglect..or maybe foolish neglect we had left without water…very unwise…never do that during these scorching days…by the time we found a place to buy some we were about to collapse…

…the Noble Birth Place has been painted…but the Haia presence remains…that white office to the left is where they distribute material in all languages…and encourage pilgrims to move away…

Makkan Ziyarah4

…and still in denial…two huge billboards attached to the front of the building seem to be delivering the message that this is ‘merely a library’…the wording on other signs emphasizing that there is no proof that this is the noble birth place…

…SubhanAllah…so much floods the soul when the eyes gaze upon…not necessarily the building…but the place…this very slither of land…when we allow the gaze to imagine the magnificence of how the mountains were at the time…standing in their natural glory…rugged and austere…unimpeded by any intrusion by man…and this is how we need to reflect…strip all away…even if for a few fleeting seconds that disconnects …know that all good that we have is through the Prophet SallAllahu alaihi wasalam…all exemplar qualities of man were in our Noble Nabi SallAllahu alaihi wasalam…whom Allah Ta’ala made manifest for our salvation at this exact chosen place…the means, the key and the door to Allah Ta’ala is through His Habib SallAllahu alaihi wasallam…why do we complicate that which Allah Ta’ala has made so beautiful…so pristine?…

…walking onward we arrived at Masjid Shajarah with Masjid Rayah, to the left, on the other side of a major road…tree…jinn…flag…more details…plus turning into this major road and then on the left is Masjid Jinn…we rested there for some time as it was super cool with very efficient AC’s Alhumdulillah…unfortunately there has been a smokey glass partition erected between the upstairs sisters area with the main brothers section downstairs…so photos of the dome with the Ayat from Surah Jinn, shown in the link above were no longer possible…but we did what many other sisters were doing and went downstairs to the main Masjid…but I was too exhausted to take photos…

…the next stop was to Mu’alla…to pay our respects to the Queen of Makkah our Lady Khadija RadhiAllahu anha and other illustrious giants from our past…how humbling it is to realize such esteemed family are residing here…and to have the opportunity to convey greetings and make Du’a…SubhanAllah…

Narrated Abu Hurairah RadhiAllahu anhu: The Prophet  SallAllahu alaihi wasallam said that Jibreel Alaihis Salam said, “Here is Khadija coming to you with a dish of food or a tumbler containing something to drink. Convey to her a greeting from her Lord and give her the glad tidings that she will have a palace in Paradise built of Qasab wherein there will be neither any noise nor any fatigue (trouble).

…the hum of traffic zooming by…the searing sun rays melting the brain… all is momentarily lost as the heart turns back the time to deeply feel her Mubarak presence…intentions to make lifestyle changes that try to emulate her love, devotion, simplicity and unwavering Iman are renewed Insha’Allah…

All good is from Allah Ta’ala whereas mistakes are from this humble speck. May Allah Ta’ala Bless all readers, bringing you all closer to Him and His Rasul SallAllahu alaihi wasallam.  May He accept our humble efforts and grant us the capacity to be good and do good. Ameen.
