Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah, Al-Masjid An-Nabawi As-Sharif, Ramadhan 1430

lightning and diamonds

By In

Or is it the lightning struck in the darkness of the night of Idam.

From the notes on the Poem of the Scarf regarding this verse:

Idam is a mountain in Madinah. As Allamah Busairi Rahmatullahi alaihi sees the lightning he wonders if it is the same lightning that struck on Idam. Even the lightning reminds his troubles heart of his beloved. After mentioning Dhi-Salam, Kaazimah (in the previous verses) and now the Mount of Idam it becomes completely clear where his beloved is and who his beloved is without directly mentioning the name. Allamah Busairi Rahmatullahi alaihi is actually trying to keep the name of the beloved, Rasulullah SallAllahu alaihi wasallam a secret.

Another of Brother Noushad’s brilliant captures from yesterdays storm.

SubhanAllah! To sit in the courtyard with a gentle drizzle falling as diamonds while praying Taraweeh adds another dimension to the blessings of this month and the tangible signs of Allah Ta’ala’s mercy.

All good is from Allah Ta’ala whereas mistakes are from this humble speck. May Allah Ta’ala Bless all readers, bringing you all closer to Him and His Rasul SallAllahu alaihi wasallam.  May He accept our humble efforts and grant us the capacity to be good and do good. Ameen.

Ramadan Mubarak Dearest Sister, to you and your family 🙂 And if you have ever seen lightning in slow motion, you know that a thin line of fire comes from the earth and draws the lightning that we see down, as if the earth is praying for rain, and lightning is the answer with the storm! And you write beautifully about it, as about everything 🙂

    Ya Haqq!

Assalamu alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa barakatuhu,
Dear Diddly Dinosaur 🙂 LOL…I flee FROM my den to outside when such storms appear. I have always loved storms, the more severe the better! They seem to be lessons from Allah Ta’ala about trust and that He is the only One to fear.
JazakiLlahu khairan Dear Sister Sabera. May your Ramadhan be showered with the choicest of blessings and lead you to the Garden of Bliss, Ameen.
Dear Bekkie!!! What a beautiful surprise visit! I had no idea you were ‘out there looking in’. I feel honoured and special, thank you very much, and love to you and yours 🙂
Yes these blessed days have been saturated with Mercy….LOVELY indeed Dear Sister Saimah. Do we see you soon?
Dear Umm Shiraaz, just the other day when reaching your names I began to wonder how you all are.
Dear Irving Darvish, that is amazing information! Last night I sat in the courtyard watching lightning for more than an hour. The power and splendour is awesome. Next time I will be more intent on watching the earth praying for rain, SubhanAllah. Allahu Akbar!
Been making Du’a for precious little Quinn.
    Wassalamu alaikum
