The Conqueror of Hearts

Hazrat explained that when we were motivated Muslims, exerting ourselves in the worship of our Lord, when our connection with Allah Ta’ala was strong, and when we lived our lives in accordance with His Will, we experienced the help of the Almighty in all our affairs. This was a time about which Poet of the East, Muhammad Iqbal, said:

Of all the brave warriors, there were none but only we,

Who fought Your battles on land and often on the sea

Our calls to prayer rang out from the churches of Europe,

And at times in Africa’s scorching desert sands

We ruled the world, but regal glories our eyes disdained,

Under the shades of glittering swords and the kalima we proclaimed.

However when we allowed love for the dunya to enter our hearts at the expense of love for our Creator, when we made our nafs (lower self) our guide, when we abandoned adherence to the shariah and the sunnah of the Prophet SallAllahu alaihi wasallam, and adopted the ideals and ways of the disbelievers, we deprived our own selves of the Help and Mercy of our Lord and weakened ourselves before our enemies.

Everyone is intoxicated with the wine of indulgence

Are you Muslims? Is this the way of Islam?

You have neither the faqr of Haider nor the wealth of Uthman

What spiritual connection do you have with your pious predecessors?

They were respected in the world for being Muslims

And you are disgraced for having abandoned the Qur’an.

Hazrat then explained that the only way out of this disgraceful situation is to work on our inner selves. Love for the dunya is the cause of our spiritual deaths; we must purge our hearts of it before we can experience a spiritual reawakening and re-establish our connection with our Lord. This renewed spirit would then inspire us to obey the Almighty no matter what the odds, and would catapult us to the same lofty heights that Muslims have experienced in the past.

With the power of love, elevate the fallen to lofty heights

Illuminate the age with the name of Muhammad SallAllahu alaihi wasllam

Intellect is your shield, love is your sword

My dervish! The world is your caliphate

Your takbir is like fire for the Godless

If you are Muslim, your destiny is what you make it

If you are loyal to Muhammad SallAllahu alaihi wasllam, then We are yours

What of this world, the Tablet and the Pen are yours.

…body on the Dome myth…

This was a miracle happened around 90 years ago narrated by Sheikh Al-Zubaidi.
A person tried to demolish the Dome of  Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) –  Masjad Al Nabawi (Gumbad-e-Khizra).However, when some one climbed over the dome to start the demolition, a sudden Lightning struck him and the climber died at the spot and no one was able to remove his body from the top of the dome!!! It was also said that a pious man from Madina heard a voice in his dream that no one can take out the dead body from the Dome and that he should be buried their as a warning and a lesson for those who may think of attempting to demolish it in future!!!
Finally, they decided to bury the man right there on the dome and to cover his body with a green box so it won’t be visible to people.

From several forwarded emails that seem to make their way around cyberspace every now and then.

This is a fake one circulated by the Shi’ahs… Actually this brick was placed by the Turks in the remembrance of the incident when ppl came to Syedatuna Ayesha and requested her to pray for the Rain. She advised to remove the brick or the leaves or whatever was on the roof right above the Blessed Qabar Sharif of Syeduna Rasoolullah Sallallaho Alaihi wa Sallam through which ALLAH Kareem will bless us the Rain! Her advised was implemented and it start raining. So this brick is said to be right above the Qabar Sharif!!
This is all what I know from my resources.. ALLAH and His Habeeb Knows and Best!!

A copied and pasted explanation of a brother residing here.

While a Sayyed Saudi al-Madani Shaykh says it is simply wiring to do with earthing and/or acoustics/security.

And Allah the Almighty knows best.

Insha’Allah, if you can shed light on this do share information, or the source of the mentioned Hadith of our Lady Ayeshah RadhiAllahu anha.

…Muhabbat fountains…

…links…

…such joy and exuberance from much loved little ones…exuding a happiness born of purity and innocence…in a fresh invigorating clime…but so so so far away…tugging at the heart strings…releasing an inner fountain of Muhabbat…

~*~

…while recently visiting the Awali area for Eid, squashed in a tiny alleyway was a newly installed slide, a whizzy thing and swings…all painted the serene green of the Mubarak Green Dome…squeals of laughter and cute playful sounds ricocheted off dusty mud walls…and dust danced with their happiness…releasing an inner fountain of Muhabbat…

~*~

…let’s go back thousands of years…when this very area was known as Bani Harith bin Khazraj…where Sayyidna Abu Bakr As Saddiq RadhiAllahu anhu first settled after his migration to Madinah…and where later he arranged for his wife, Umm Rooman and daughters Asmaa and Ayeshah, RadhiAllahu anhunna to reside…it was here that the young Ayeshah RadhiAllahu anha would spend time playing with her friends…they loved to swing…just as all children, and many adults, delight in the meditative rhythm…and devise imaginary tales with simple toys made from pieces of palm trunks and fibre and old fabric…one of her toys was a horse with two wings and when the Prophet SallAllahu alaihi wasallam gently remarked that horses do not have wings, being a child born into the light of Islam, she intelligently replied that the Prophet Sulaiman Alaihis Salam’s horses had wings…which elicited a smile from her betrothed…releasing another inner fountain of Muhabbat…

~*~

…Lady Ayeshah As Siddiqah RadhiAllahu anha was born in the month of Shawwal four years after Prophethood, and nine years before Hijrah and then six years later, also in the month of Shawwal the Nikkah to our Beloved Rasul SallAllahu alaihi wasallam was performed in Makkah, which was ten years after Prophethood and three years before Hijrah…and then a few years after migration she was given to the Prophet SallAllahu alaihi wasallam from her parental home in Bani Harith…and thus his dream in which an Angel presented him with a gift wrapped in green silk became reality…as it was the beauteous face of our Lady Ayeshah RadhiAllahu anha shining under the silken cover…another effusive inner Muhabbat fountain sprinkles the heart with glistening diamonds…

~*~

…Madinatun Nabi during these current days is devoid of pilgrims from outside the Kingdom, one of the two periods in the year when visas are not issued meaning access for sisters to the Mubarak Rowdha Shareef and the area surrounding it is open and free of pushing and yelling, Alhumdulillah…the blessing of standing mere metres from the Mubarak Hujrah of our Beloved Prophet SallAllahu alaihi wasallam and his beloved wife, our Ummul Mu’mineen, Ayeshah As-Saddiqah RadhiAllahu anha releases a forceful fountain of Muhabbat that belies description…long moments standing literally where the main door to their humble home would have been have been gifted…SubhanAllah…one’s body melts into an intoxicated oblivion…where all sense of what seems to be the reality of plush carpets, gilded decoration, Ottoman features…dissolves…and any moment our Lady Ayeshah RadhiAllahu anha will appear from under the dried palm frond roof carrying an empty clay water vessel…or maybe to attend to the needs of sisters gathered around her door…or to distribute Sadaqah…such is how the inner fountain of Muhabbat is released…

~*~

…may you experience the releasing of an inner fountain of Muhabbat as you reflect upon the exceptional life of our Lady Ayeshah RadhiAllahu anha…may time be devoted to filling the hearts of our young ones with the beauty and simplicity of her life, achievements and dedication to the cause of Islam, Insha’Allah

…celebrating…

…Saudi style…Friday 23rd is Saudi National Day…it is only a relatively recent occasion for celebration, as prior to King Abdullah it was frowned upon as being Bid’ah…Saturday has been declared a public holiday considering the actual day coincides with Juma’ah…

…strange that the Hijri calendar is referred to for the majority of annual events, but that they use the Gregorian date for the National Day…

…also strange that our Islamic testimony of faith, the Shahadah is emblazoned on all these things and then used to drape cars and decorate bodies…

…badges, flags, bracelets, headbands, keyrings, posters, streamers, face paints, whacky glasses and green wigs are all on sale…

…the dressed up youth hoon around in cars painted green, full of more dressed up youth hanging out of the windows and sky lights waving flags and streamers…zealous scenes of nationalism…

…Saudi families gather and picnic as they take pride in recognition of the forming of their nation…cultural festivities are held in the main cities, rejoicing in the historic unification of their country under the Saud banner, symbolizing the genesis of a Kingdom by the late King Abdul Aziz Bin Abdul Rahman al-Faisal al-Saud in the year1932…their jubilant outpourings made even more given that this previously was a non event for this sombre society…

…’Al Watan fi qulubinaa’…’the Nation is in our hearts’…is printed on much of the paraphernalia available for the occasion…

…so while on the topic of celebrating Saudi style, here is a peek of some shops that specialize in gifts, decorations, sweets for any excuse to indulge…

…hours are spent with the host searching for that ‘unique’ feature for an engagement, wedding, birthday, funeral, valentine’s day, graduations, Khatam of Qur’an, or even a Halaqa…and now one of the latest trends is a divorce party!

…lavish themes are displayed catering for all ages…

…an aside…I am beginning to think Sponge Bob is a covert Muslim as I see him EVERYWHERE in the Haramain…making Tawaf, and even last night in Rowdha Shareef! …

…not sure what has happened to the concept of simplicity, as was the exemplary example of not being extravagant or excessive by our Blessed Prophet SallAllahu alaihi wasallam…

…Insha’Allah may our love for him SallAllahu alaihi wasallam and his Sunnah flood hearts as we celebrate the supreme blessing of being from his Ummah…so turn the volume up and saturate the soul with Hayyun fi qulubinaa…ALIVE IN OUR HEARTS…this is true celebrating!!!

Hijrah Highway gallery

…zooming along the Hijrah Highway from Madinah Al Munawwarah to Makkah Al Mukarramah and back…no time for stopping this trip, so all photos taken from a speeding car…may this virtual journey be one of reminiscing for those who have travelled it and of eager anticipation for those with the intention to witness these Sacred Lands…and for all of us to reflect upon the Hijrah of our Noble Nabi SallAllahu alaihi wasallam as he and his faithful companion Abu Bakr As Saddiq RadhiAllahu anhu traversed harsh and barren land to the west of this modern highway…

…the beginnings of the Hijrah Railway…

constructing…expanding

O Allah, of Grace I ask You its perfection;

and of protection its duration;

and of mercy its completion;

and of health its attainment.

Of livelihood, I ask its comfort

and of life its happiness;

and of virtue its completion;

and of blessings its totality;

and of graciousness its sweetness;

and of benevolence the nearest.

O Allah, terminate with happiness our final end and fulfill for us our hopes beyond expectations.

Join with well-being and good health our early mornings and dusky evenings and set Your mercy as our final end and outcome.

Pour the abundance of Your Forgiveness upon our sins, and favour us with the removal of our faults.

Give us piety as a provision and place our efforts in the strengthening of Your Religion.

In You is our trust and upon You our dependence.

O Allah, strengthen us on the road of sincerity and righteousness and protect us in this world from that which will be cause for regret on the Final Day.

Lighten for us the burden of our sins and bestow upon us the blessings of those who live a life of Righteousness, and be sufficient for us and avert from us the evils of those who do evil.

Free us and free our fathers and our mothers and our teachers from the fire of hell by the grace of Your Mercy.

O most Mighty, most Merciful, most Generous; the Veiler of faults, the Gentle One, the Potent.

O Allah…O Allah…O Allah…

O Allah…

O Merciful… O Merciful…

O Merciful…

O most Merciful of the Merciful…

the First of the First and the Last of the Last.

The Possessor of unshakable Power.

The most Compassionate to the poor and the destitute.

O most Merciful of the Merciful.

There is no God except You.

Glory be to You. Indeed I am amongst those who have done wrong (21:87)

May the blessings of Allah be upon Muhammad, his family and all of his companions.

And praise belongs to Allah alone , Lord of the worlds.

Ameen.

Du’a of Imam Ghazali Rahmatullahi alaihi

Reminders:

SubhanAllah, the Masjid extension project is rapidly making it’s mark on the Makkan landscape…steel, concrete and cranes dominate the horizon. The sheer size and awesomeness dwarfs the frailty of the human condition…reducing one to contemplate the temporal nature of existence. While these massive constructions and expansions attest to man’s ability to shape and form from materials bequeathed to him, it is paramount to our purpose in this Dunya to be diligent with constructing and expanding an awesome relationship with Al Khaliq, Al Razzaq, Allah Ta’ala, the Creator and the Sustainer through being steadfast with all forms of Ibadah and regular, sincere Du’a, Insha’Allah.

Insha’Allah there is still time for the six Sunnah Shawwal days of fasting to be offered, if not already done so or completed.

Do visit Shaykh Kamaluddin Ahmed’s site for inspiring talks that assist with our post-Ramadhan adjusting with keeping the Iman soaring:

‘Retaining our Spirituality after Ramadhan’, ‘Maintaining the Momentum after Ramadhan’ and do take the time to listen to the explanations of Laylatul Qadr that concludes with a heart changing Du’a in ‘Understanding the Night of Power’.

Shaykh Kamaluddin Ahmed is the Caliphate of Shaykh Zulfiqar Ahmad Naqshbandi, may Allah increase them both in knowledge and wisdom and continue to raise their Ajar, Ameen. Both are currently touring the UK. Insha’Allah, if you are in the UK check here for locations and details of Bayans available online.

Insha’Allah, make this Juma’ah one where heart projects of ‘constructing and expanding’ are the love filled focus! And may all that you ‘construct’ and ‘expand’ into surpass the grand sum of all man made edifices by being of the realms of eternity, Ameen.

Be foolishly in love

A spirit that lives in this world
and does not wear the shirt of love,
such an existence is a deep disgrace.

Be foolishly in love,
because love is all there is.

There is no way into presence
except through a love exchange.

If someone asks, But what is love?
answer, Dissolving the will.

True freedom comes to those
who have escaped the questions
of freewill and fate.

Love is an emperor.
The two worlds play across him.
He barely notices their tumbling game.

Love and lover live in eternity.
Other desires are substitutes
for that way of being.

How long do you lay embracing a corpse?
Love rather the soul, which cannot be held.

Anything born in spring dies in the fall,
but love is not seasonal.

With wine pressed from grapes,
expect a hangover.

But this love path has no expectations.
You are uneasy riding the body?
Dismount. Travel lighter.
Wings will be given.

Be clear like a mirror
reflecting nothing.

Be clean of pictures and the worry
that comes with images.

Gaze into what is not ashamed
or afraid of any truth.

Contain all human faces in your own
without any judgment of them.

Be pure emptiness.
What is inside that? you ask.
Silence is all I can say.

Lovers have some secrets

That they keep

What is inside that? you ask.
Silence is all I can say.

Lovers have some secrets

That they keep
