…water…clouds…patterns…masaajid…

Weather conditions blessing our City of Radiance is expected to bring rain once again over the next few days. Spectacular cloud formations have recently filled the skies while the welcomed addition of waterfalls and fountains enhance many sites, offering respite from the rapidly rising temperatures.

Above, the man made waterfall marks the place where Ka’b ibn Malik received the long awaited news of forgiveness.

The following seven photos from Masjid Qiblatain…

…and Masjid Juma’ah…

JUMA’AH MUBARAK!

All good is from Allah Ta’ala whereas mistakes are from this humble speck. May Allah Ta’ala Bless all readers, bringing you all closer to Him and His Rasul SallAllahu alaihi wasallam.  May He accept our humble efforts and grant us the capacity to be good and do good. Ameen.

…out and about in the local Madani streets…

Allah’s Messenger SallAllahu alaihi wasallam said: Allah enriches the thrifty and impoverishes the spendthrift; Allah elevates the humble and whoever tyrannizes others Allah will crush him. Al-Bazar

Allah’s Messenger SallAllahu alaihi wasallam said: Fulfillment is not plenty of goods; rather, it is self-fulfillment. Bukhari and Muslim

Allah’s Messenger SallAllahu alaihi wasallam said: A person who teaches goodness to others while neglecting his own soul is like an oil lamp, which illuminates others while burning itself out. At-Tabarani

Allah’s Messenger SallAllahu alaihi wasallam said: What enables people to enter Paradise more than anything is piety and good character. At-Tirmidhi

…who knows tomorrow could be your day…

…’a chilly wind begins to blow’…gravediggers in Jannatul Baqi preparing for others who have breathed their Last Breath…

O Allah, keep me alive so long as it is in my best interest and give me death when it is in my best interest.

AMEEN

…midnight ‘operation umbrellas’…

…three of the closest umbrellas to Babus Salam were being ‘operated’ on last night around midnight. The highly organized procedure fascinating those who were present.

…three of the inner ‘spine sections’, one each from three different umbrellas were unbolted by a team of three lifted to be inside the open umbrella by a cherry picker. A crane then lifted the part onto a padded trolley, where experts examined the damage, which seemed extensive, but also baffling as to what would cause such a gash on three, maybe more, different umbrellas.

The heart then turned to the one who deserves our attention, capturing the soul and strengthening the link to Allah Ta’ala, Al-Mustafa, SallAllahu alaihi wasallam.

O Allah, bless the soul of our master Muhammad among the souls, and bless his body among the bodies, and his grave among the graves and his family and companions, and grant them peace.

O Allah, bless our master Muhammad whenever those who do dhikr mention him.

O Allah, bless our master Muhammad whenever those who neglect his dhikr neglect it.

O Allah, bless our master Muhammad, the Unlettered Prophet and his wives, the mothers of the believers, and his offspring and the People of his House with a blessing and peace whose quantity is not counted and whose help is not cut off.

O Allah, bless our master Muhammad in quantities great as what Your knowledge encompasses and Your Book contains with a blessing which is Yours as a pleasure and his as payment, and give him the means of mediation and virtue and high degree, and raise him up, O Allah, to the praiseworthy station which You promised him and reward him from us what he deserves, and bless all his brothers, the Prophets and truthful ones, martyrs and righteous.

O Allah, bless our master Muhammad and put him in the closest position on the Day of Rising.

O Allah, bless our master Muhammad SallAllahu alaihi wasallam.

…a desert interlude…

…stunning in the barren harshness…

Then do they not look at the camels, how they are created?

And at the sky, how it is raised?

And at the mountains, how they are erected?

And at the earth, how it is spread out?

SubhanAllah! The reminders are everywhere…couches…

…cups, cushions and carpets…

…and camels, camels camels…

Then indeed, upon Us is their account. (88)

…anbariyah afternoon…

A sunny afternoon wandering around the Ottoman Railway Station and the magnificent Masjid Anbariyah. Unfortunately the railway station is longer open to the public.

Previous entries on the Ottoman presence in Madinatun Nabi 1,2.

JUMA’AH MUBARAK!

Alhumdulillah, due to the presence of so many special visitors during these next few weeks, posts will be very sporadic. Insha’Allah there may be time to upload photos only.

…15 floors up…and has the decision been made for the new Makkah?

The latest ground shots of the construction site on the eastern side of Masjid Nabawi…

…prior to the magnificent view from the 15th floor of the Green Palace…SubhanAllah!

…and back to the courtyard prior to Maghrib…

The building in the far left corner is the Green Palace where images were taken from…apologies…no time for explanations at this moment…if there are any specific queries, Insha’Allah I may reply to from comments…

…and now a jump to Makkah…

Usually foundations are not laid unless definite designs have been decided upon. So is the Atkins proposal (see awesome video that has been around for a year or so now) as mentioned in the Arab News article today the one being executed? Saudis like to keep secrets!

JazakumuLLahu khaira for all those who so generously arranged for the visit to the Green Palace for the above photos.
