Dear Miskeenah, I’m sure you know this already, but I just wanted to clarify in case any readers were confused: the first picture is NOT Masjid Al Aqsa. Aqsa has a blackish silver dome and is very old looking.
Everyone confuses the two because ‘the media’ always show the Golden domed Al Sakhrah Masjid instead. I also had them mixed up until another sister pointed it out to me. Read the short info on the link below:
