wild park revisited
Dec 8th, 2009 by almiskeenah

backtracking a little in time ….captures of an after Fajr visit to Wild Park with friends prior to their Hajj journey. Here is a previous post that details some of the features along with stories related to the noble times of our Blessed Prophet SallAllahu alaihi wasallam and this area.

We passed an old American school bus as it was returning from dropping off dozens of cleaners who then dispersed across the entire area picking up rubbish, that would soon be replaced by the next lot of visitors.

A detail of the strong sharp thorns of this desert acacia. Reminding us of how the Sahabah RadhiAllahu anhum used them as pins to button up their clothing. Also of the various Ahadith revealing Allah Ta’ala’s Mercy related to thorns:
Narrated Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri and Abu Hurairah RadhiAllahu anhuma: The Prophet SallAllahu alaihi wasallam said, “No fatigue, nor disease, nor sorrow, nor sadness, nor hurt, nor distress befalls a Muslim, even if it were the prick he receives from a thorn, but that Allah expiates some of his sins for that.”
Abu Hurairah RadhiAllahu anhu reported that the Prophet SallAllahu alaihi wasallam said, “A man came across a thorn in the road and said, ‘I will remove this thorn so that it does not harm a Muslim.’ For that reason he was forgiven.”

The friend, upon returning home to Australia one day ago, sent the following message:
…I miss the athan at Fajr particularly and the Haram and Masjid Nabawi, the breeze there and the focus and everything, even the horrible guards! And the silence through the noise and commotion……
May all be called back again and again, Ameen.
All good is from Allah Ta’ala whereas mistakes are from this humble speck. May Allah Ta’ala Bless all readers, bringing you all closer to Him and His Rasul SallAllahu alaihi wasallam. May He accept our humble efforts and grant us the capacity to be good and do good. Ameen.

Assalamu alaikum,
It would be nice to ride my bike there and do some skids and fall off in the sand !And jazakallah for the Tasbih,I like the wooden ones.
Wassalam
Assalamu alaikum,
I like building things with my hands with the sand and I like the beach and I like putting my feet in the water.Jazakallah for my pink bag ,I love the colour.
Wassalamu alaikum warahmatullah wabarakatuh !
And we have all put some henna on !
Wa ‘alaikumus Salam Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu,
You and yours always mentioned.
It is indeed a stunningly awesome place Dear Jummy, and JazakiLlahu khaira for the ‘mabruk’
Dear Faqir…oh do try to side step to the Haramain while you are in the area, very easy for Allah Ta’ala to arrange
Dear Whispering Willows! I have been snared by those thorny bushes several times…one part gets hooked then another, but yes, I can see how useful they would be as buttons!
How I would love to magically swap places for a little while Dear Abu Ali! How great is Allah Ta’ala’s creation…in the tiny space of this tiny globe in the huge Universe are such contrasts all under His Command, SubhanAllah!
Yes, let’s pencil this in for your next trip Dear Sister Saimah!
Ameen thumma Ameen Dear Muslimah, and JazakiLlahu khaira for your encouragement….but sadly I am not posting as frequently as I would like, but there are many archives you can peek into.
Dear Ismail…I think you would like to ride the horses or the quad bikes…they were not there when we were there as it was too early in the morning. Insha’Allah you use the Tasbih and soon tell me that you have reached 1,000 by using the extra thread of ten to keep your tally.
Dear Khadeejah, Alhumdulillah that you liked the bag…there were so many to choose from that my head went dizzy! Insha’Allah take a photo of the henna patterns you did. Many families come to picnic at these lakes after rain, but also sadly too many children drown as they do not realize that the current is strong and they do not know how to swim. So as much as these photos look picturesque, one needs to be careful.
Wassalamu alaikum
Asalamu alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu dear sister!

Dearest Ukhti Noor,
Jazak Allah Khair for sharing the photographs. The water reminds me of my little sanctuary, alhamdulillah. Glad you got to visit. You must have enjoyed walking through the desert there.
Its snowing here now so it will be very picturesque here at the moment. Will try to get some photos taken, insha ALlah.

Wa ‘alaikumus Salam Wa Rahamatullahi Wa Barakatuhu,
Dear Nadia, a VERY belated Eid to you too…along with a belated Muharram Mubarak! I too feel that I have been to a village of sorts for some time…called ‘bedville’ LOL!
JazakiLlahu khaira Dear Itto, the feeling is likewise when I visit your amazing environment and imbibe in your gentle sharing.
So true Dear Ukhti Farah…to get out in the fresh air, and believe me it changes considerable once you are out of the concrete jungle of hotels and asphalt roads, the air is crisp. The water was a surprising treat, festooned with water birds and animal tracks along the banks. If I could drive I would go more often! Snow!!!!!!!!!! Masha’Allah…the picture you sent conveys an eerie feeling…that soft blanketing with lights reflecting off the pure white, SubhanAllah. Insha’Allah you all rug up and have the wheat bag ready for cold feet!
Wassalamu alaikum
DEAR SISTER asa!! ALHAMDOLILLAH u are back. my system will not let me view the whole next post of yours ,but whatever i can scroll down is lovely and inspiring!mashAllah. i was bit concerned about your absence this time around and the bedville trip mention in one of your comments only proved it right.May Allah keep u well dear …ameen
