movement :: stillness

When the earth is shaken violently in its quaking….(99:1)
Our planet earth is constantly experiencing movement under its crust with the shifting of tectonic plates and the bubbling of all the various gases and liquids from deep within its core. This site reveals live, the activity across the globe; fascinating. How magnificently awesome is the Qudrat of Allah Ta’ala, SubhanAllah, controlling the minutest to the most gigantic of movements.
It is normal activity for the province of Madinah to be experiencing minor earth tremors, however during the past week heightened concern with the aggravated magnitude of these occurrences has mobilized experts to the area as well as evacuating several outlying villages as a precautionary measure. (1,2) May Allah Ta’ala protect us all, Ameen. (previous posts on volcanic activity around Madinah 1,2)

And while certain movement is on the increase below the ground, the movement of some hopeful Umrah pilgrims has been temporarily halted. Due to the supposed prevalence of swine flu in Egypt and Malaysia, the issuing of visas has been withheld to pilgrims from these countries. There has been a marked difference in numbers for sisters arriving for Ziyarah. What was total chaos a week ago, with excessive crowding and squashing in the Rowdha Shareef, one can now be there in reasonable comfort and for an extended period of time, Alhumdulillah, connecting to a sublime stillness as foreheads surrender in the Meadow.

Meanwhile movement devoted to the devoted SallAllahu alaihi wasallam…

…is focused towards his light…

…with the innocence of children…

…the frenzy of insects…

…the seekers of Tahajjud blessings…

…and the heart’s stillness within the outer movement of the prayer ritual…

…united as a spiritual gathering moving closer to the inner tranquility…

…of Allah Ta’ala, through His Habib SallAllahu alaihi wasallam.
When the earth convulses in its shock
and the earth unloads its burdens
and man says, “What is the matter with it?”
That day it will relate its information,
as your Lord has inspired it.
That day humanity will go out
separately, to be shown their works:
then whoever has done
a bit of good will see it,
and whoever has done
a bit of evil will see it.
(99:1-8)
All good is from Allah Ta’ala whereas mistakes are from this humble speck. May Allah Ta’ala Bless all readers, bringing you all closer to Him and His Rasul SallAllahu alaihi wasallam. May He accept our humble efforts and grant us the capacity to be good and do good. Ameen.
Assalaamu alaikum,
Are the earthquakes being felt inside the city of Madeenah sis? May Allah protect the beloved residents of Madeenah and reward them for all they go through! Ameen.
InshaAllah the pilgrims from Egypt and Malaysia will be able to eventually make their way to the Haramain. That must have been soo disappointing for them!

Dear Sister Jawharah, I have heard that a few people thought they felt mild tremors within Madinah, Allahu ‘Alum. Alhumdulillah this deep volcanic activity seems to have stopped.
It is a ‘moving’ Surah Dear Saimah, Ameen thumma Ameen to your Du’a, and I gain so much from mentioning names of ones I do not know. May we all meet in Jannah, if not in this lifetime, Ameen! Not sure that I will post my ‘ blog to do list’
Dear Sister Sabera, your leaping for joy and longing is infectious
Good to see you Asiyah…how is your photography…waiting for you to be sharing it on a blog, Insha’Allah. Love to all there too.
