The ‘island’ of Masjid ‘Umar!
Thousands of Sahabah RadhiAllahu anhum gathered here to pray behind Ameer al-Mu’mineen Sayyiduna ‘Umar al-Farooq RadhiAllahu anhu for Eid Salat.
And soon thousands of pilgrims will be accommodated in the lofty buildings that will hover over this site, dwarfing the humble monument to monumental moments from our history.
